How can I rent?
Contact us by phone or e-mail to check availability and to book the model you want: 619209808 – 654636965 or by e-mail info@galiciamotorent.com
What do I need?
You need to be older than 22 years, have in force the driver’s license suitable for the motorbike that you want to rent, the ID card or passport and a credit card to formalize a deposit. It is always necessary to show the original cards.
What does the rental include?
In addition to the motorbike, the rental includes obligatory insurance.
Which insurance do the motorbikes have?
All the motorbikes and scooter are third-party insured with roadside assistance included. These insurances include a deposit for a percentage of the vehicle’s value. This deposit will be returned when you return the vehicle once it is checked that the condition is the same that before it has been rented. There is the possibility of having a fully comprehensive insurance for an extra amount according to the chosen model.
Is a deposit necessary?
Yes, it is necessary to formalize a 300€ deposit for the motorbikes with a cylinder capacity of 400cc or lower and 1200€ for a higher cylinder capacity. This deposit is charged in a credit card and it is returned when you return the vehicle.
What schedule does the rental have?
The rental is available from 09:00 to 19:30 hrs. from Monday until Friday and Saturdays from 10:00 to 13:00 hrs.
When is it possible to pick it up and to return it?
It depends on the rental type, there are three forms: working days (from Monday until Friday), public holidays and weekends.
In working days it is possible to pick up the motorbike from 10:00 to 19:30 hrs, every rental day covers 24 hours, so the return must be done at the same hour of the last rental day. There is an exception: on Saturday motorbikes can only be returned from 10:00 to 11:00 hrs. If you rent it on Friday only for one day, independently of the pickup hour, the return would be done on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 hrs.
The rental in public holidays includes the pickup the previous day from 19:00 hrs. and the return the day following the public holiday from 10:00 to 11:00 hrs.
At weekends, there are two possibilities:
– Pickup on Friday from 17:00 to 19:00 hrs and return on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 hrs.
– Pickup on Saturday from 10:00 to 13:00 hrs. and return on Monday from 17:00 to 19:00 hrs.
What happens if I return a motorbike after the scheduled hour?
We study every case. If the delay is more than one hour, it impedes us to confirm the following rental; therefore, there is a penalization equivalent to the amount of half a day. It is always desirable to notify it earlier, and if it is possible to coordinate with the following renter it is possible to avoid any additional charge.
What are the conditions for the fuel?
It is necessary to return the motorbikes at the same level of fuel they had in the pickup. They are returned at least with half deposit.
If it is not possible to return the motorbikes in the same conditions that they were picked up, 20€ will be charged to the client for refuelling expenses.
Is there a kilometres limit in the rental?
It depends on the type of rented motorbike:
– For motorbikes up to 125cc, the limit is 100 daily Km. From this limit, it is necessary to pay a 0,30€ cost for every additional Km.
– The models with more than 400cc have a limit of 200Km each day of rental. The extra charge for additional Km is also 0,30€
Is it possible to take a passenger?
Yes, always with an authorized helmet and suitable clothes.
In case of children, a few special conditions must be fulfilled: they have to go sat in the rear seat to that of the driver and necessarily to reach with the feet the footrests of the passenger. If the child has more than 12 years they can go with any adult but if they are between 7 and 12 years old they can only go with one of his parents or legal tutor. If they are younger (< 7 years) they cannot go in a motorbike.
Where is it possible to use the motorbike?
In any Spanish motorway of the peninsula. The assistance in motorway has coverage in paved roads, never paths. Neither is coverage in an underground parking or of difficult access for the assistance cranes.
To drive outside the Spanish peninsular territory it is necessary to make an enlargement coverage in the insurance (ask us).
Where can I drive in the city?
In Vigo, the use of Bus and Taxi lanes is allowed for motorbikes. Through the sidewalks or pedestrian walkways, it is not possible to drive, it is only allowed to drive over curbs with the engine running to park in certain conditions. Use the parking areas for motorbikes. When there are not parking areas for motorbikes, you can park at an angle like cars. If this is not possible, it is allowed to park on the sidewalk if this one has more than 3 meters wide, in parallel and the closest to the roadway, without preventing the access to other vehicles, to crosswalks or stops of public transport. If the sidewalk has more than 6 meters wide it is also allowed to park at an angle.
